1. Can you clean almost any upholstery fabric?
Yes. Most upholstery fabric responds well to the same hot water extraction cleaning system described on the carpet cleaning page. Specially designed tools are used to cope with the smaller areas involved and the more intricate nature of the work. These tools are also designed to avoid over-wetting the fabric to produce the best possible drying times and minimise shrinkage.
2. I'm a bit worried that it might shrink or cause the colour to run.
If there is any doubt I pre-test on a small inconspicuous area of fabric prior to commencement of the work. Rest assured that with more than 14 years experience I know what I am doing.
3. My furniture says "dry clean only".
In my experience this is more to prevent the customer from over-wetting the upholstery than a strict rule. It is again highly likely that we will achieve excellent results for you. I have dry-cleaning chemicals available if required.
